Im hearing rumors vince wants some memphis wrestlers in the hall of fame and vince is working up something where
cm punk continues to whip up on lawler and then bill dundee, austin idol and a few others come out and beat up cm punk
There will then be a tag team match cm punk and whoever vs jerry lawler, dundee, idol or whoever
that would absolutely rock since bill and idol still compete some and look for for there age whatever that means.
Lance russell and dave brown both need to go in

Early reports made it sound like WWE was going more for a MSG theme'd HOF. I wouldn't be surprised to see Foley, Backlund and Nash inducted. It makes sense they were really pushing for Bruno this year with his rich history in NY area.

They want to make the hof Memphis themed, they don't own the footage, and they will be in the NYC area for wrestlemania. Hopefully it's just a rumor because that would make zero sense.

Yeah supposedly Lawler wanted Russell to induct him, but according to the executive vice a$$hole of wwe production Kevin Dunn, "nobody knows who Lance Russell is". Kevin Dunn is one of the sumbitches in Stamford that MXPress refers to all the time.

He's right. Memphis never made it to national TV. Serious wrestling fans know of it, and of Lance Russell, but the average fan? Probably not. Maybe they remember the Andy Kaufman incident and maybe they remember Lance teamed with Gordon Solie for a brief period on TV, but other than that, Memphis and Russell aren't at the mainstream level that WWE wants for its HOF. Inducting Dundee, as a previous poster predicted, would be even more ludicrous -- he had no role in the Kaufman angle and hardly ever left the area.

Who cares if nobody knows who he is? If Lawler wanted it, they should have just let it happen.

Since Wm29 is in NY/NJ and Bruno has already declined {but did describe Triple H as a "gentleman" when they had their meeting}, this would be my ideal list...
Bob Backlund
Randy Savage
Lawrence Taylor {Celebrity Induction as he played for the NY Giants}
Mick Foley
Ken Patera
Ivan Koloff
The Moondogs
Toru Tanaka

I have a feeling that Koloff would turn them down as he is close to Bruno and I think feels the same way about Vince.
But Patera/Backlund/Angelo Mosca/Danny Davis..you name it. Any guy who worked for them and is in the Northeast or Canada..send them an invite.

The best induction would be the idea of ending this whole charade.

I keep hearing that southern promoters "respect" pro wrestling and its fans and we evil northerners don't get it. And then I think - A wrestling bear? A wrestling mummy? The same BS finishes being done for years and years and years. To me it's all the same stuff done in a different way.

I've heard that Andy Kaufman was the possible celebrity induction this year even before Lawler's heart attack. Who knows, maybe Lance Russell would get to be involved with that?

But it is fine to induct bigger names like James Dudley, Mikel Scicluna, and Johnny Rodz?
