Ron Starr told me that Leo Burke was one of his favorite all-time opponents, and they carried their great feud from AGPW to Stampede and a few other places as well.

Anyone have any memories of their feud?

IIRC Ron came in as a face.  I was working on the broadcast where he turned on Leo.  Somebody hit Starr with a chair and Leo picked it up as Starr turned around.  I think it was something like that, I'm sure someone here will have the correct scenario if this isn't correct.

Also witnessed Ron breaking a beer bottle over his own head during an interview with Maxwell.

That's the correct scenario, Starr was a face teaming with Ron Rich before Burke returned to the territory, from Montreal.

Ron Starr was also involved in the Cuban Assassins heel turn in 89, in a sixman match, Starr, Harley Race & Pat Brady against Leo Burke, Gerry Morrow & Cuban Assassin. It became a melee, the Assassin had someone* in a full Nelson, Burke swung a chair or other weapon at the heel, who ducked, Burke hit the Cuban, after which both Gerry Morrow & Cuban Assassin attacked Burke.
*(Starr is the most likely candidate for the full Nelson as he had the best combination of agility and experience of the three)

I remember reading about that interview w/the beer bottle.  The interviewer later recounted that he ribbed Ron by saying that they didn't get the first take and that they'd have to do it again!

^When you're working on the program, you're focusing on the broadcast and not really what the subject is doing (strange as that may sound).

I crewed a bunch of those AGPW/WGPW shows that are available on Youtube and frankly remember very little of what is in them.  Also the fact that they took place over 20 years ago doesn't help, but the Starr/bottle scene I recall quite well.  It was probably one of those things that was probably better in person than what may have translated to the screen.  I remember him getting someone (Cuban?) to go to the liquor store and Starr putting on the glove before he whacked himself.  Crazy, crazy poop!

Seeing as they were in a main-event feud as soon as they got to Calgary in 85, I wonder if they used tapes from AGPW to build it up in Stampede?
Another thing I remember was after he turned on Leo Burke, he said that his "cousin" Dave Schultz had warned him about Leo Burke, were they actually related or was it pure Kayfabe?

What season did Ron Starr come in with 'Peaches' as his valet?
I'm thinking '86?
Was this the season after he debuted as a babyface, then turned heel on Burke? That would make his first AGPW season, the 1985 one...Am I correct with my timeline?

Starr debuted as a babyface, then turned heel on Burke in 85, but Peaches didn't debut until His next run which I think was 87.

The reference to David Schultz as his cousin was pure kayfabe.
