Going through some 1977 newspaper clippings today. Here's a Central States card from St. Joseph, Missouri--Fri., April 22nd, 1977--at the Auditorium--tickets $3 & $2.50--
--opening match, mixed bout--Haystack Calhoun & Vicki Williams vs. Bob Orton Sr. & Leilani Kai
2. midget girls--Darling Dagmar vs. Marie LaVeau
3. Ted DiBiase vs. the Spoiler
4. Bobby Jaggers & Randy Tyler vs. Ted Oates & Bob Geigle

I have no idea if the Spoiler on this card was Don Jardine, the most well known Spoiler.

Say what you will about Central States, I'd pay $3.00 to see that card, no problem. Looks like an interesting card.

It wasn't until about 1983-1984that Central States started being pretty bad.Their stuff in the '60's & '70's was darn good at times.

Ted DiBiase and Bob Slaughter had some bloodbaths at Memorial Hall in KC and I agree that KC wrestling from 60s to 70s was amazing.
