Post: #42154 PT: #2/10	The only thing that I really remember about his matches is that they were really bloody. He teamed with Bret Sawyer and some brawls with Eric Embry and I forget his teammate. I know that it wasn't Ken Timbs. These matches were in Southwest championship wrestling. Noah Mark

I remember him being a heel in Southwest winning the Jr. Hwt Title. Looked tough and credible.

One match that stands out is Chicky/Brett vs Emrey/Greer.
Tag Belts on a Pole Match.
As Chicky was climbing the pole, it snapped and Chicky fell close to 15 feet on his head to the concrete floor.
Miraculously he got up and continued the match another 5 minutes or so till he passed out.
Had to be taken to the hospital.

Chicky Starr was involved in one of the best non-main event I've seen on Southwest TV. He teamed with Tony Falk against the Fabulous Blondes (the Eric Embry/Dan Greer) version) in one of his first matches in the territory. Chicky was perfecly positioned during his Southwest run as the fiery, Latin babyface who brings the fight to hjs opponents and never backs down. The way this match was booked was incredible:Falk gets piledrived outside on the concrete by Embry, leaving Chicky to go solo. At this point, you'd think Chicky would be toast. Yet he keeps fighting back. The momentum turns in favor of the Blondes, but then out comes Brett Sawyer to cheer on Chicky. Finally, Chicky manages to duck a double-clothesline and knock both Blondes down with a dropkick (one foot to each guy) and then tags in Brett, who ends replacing the injured Falk. I found the bout on YouTube and am sharing it here for the enjoyment of fellow KM'ers. I love this territory!

Hey Paul, do you recall the angle that led to Chicky turning heel in Southwest? All the footage I've seen of him here was him as a face. I appreciate any help you could provide, as I don't recall Chicky wrestling as a heel in Southwest (He did have a long, successful heel run in Puerto Rico, though).
