Yes it was,George.I sure wish VCR's were around back then,because Zodiac's TV interviews were way ahead of their time.Funky camera work and background graphics,and some kind of reverb in the audio,
Berry(Barry)Orton tried to do the same when he was in Stampede as Zodiac,but his Dad's were better.May be some of Berry's on youtube.

I saw Bob Orton, Sr. in the 1960's, and he was a hell of a great talent.

The elder Orton was a BIG man (might have been as tall as 6-foot-5) who was amazingly agile ... and not just "for his size."

Top-drawer worker in a whole bunch of territories.
