Out of respect for his privacy I hadn't mentioned this before, but two weeks ago U.S. and America's Champion, Bobby Nutt, A.K.A. Ron Starr, sustained a heart attack and a stroke. It wasn't the first time Ron has experienced these serious afflictions and as I know from experience, they can take a toll on the body. While Ron seemed to be doing okay last week considering the seriousness of the health issues, 2 days ago his wife Jackie tearfully reported that the last couple of days have been very rough. Ron has been dealing with lots of health issues over the last several years and their has also been an emotional toll on both he and Jackie. She has asked for prayers and positive thoughts on their behalf and I told her I would put the word out. As Ron and I agree, "Without our health, we have nothing." Please keep them both in your thoughts. - R

Got to see Starr live a few times in Vancouver years ago. Real good in the ring. Sorry to hear he's having a tough go with his health. Wish him the best. Hopefully he can overcome. Thoughts and prayers to Ron and Jackie.
