Since I'm in Australia, I won't be having much to do with it. Does anybody else here really care? Since only about half of the American population votes, it doesn't seem like they care either.

For me, Other then getting away from senseless war deaths, I don't see any benefits of trading one moron for another. So far all I see is a gaggle of morons running for office.
It would be nice to see America earn some respect in the world again, Bush has screwed that up completely.

A lot of elections wind up being a choice between two evils. That's not a problem exclusive to the USA. You should see some of the idiots trying to run the various states here in Australia.

Since I am Canadian, it is interesting to us to watch the show. Because, it is a show. So much money is put into it that it's a wonder that there is any left at all to do anything else... Democracy is no longer a choice between candidates ideas, since the ones that have the most money wins... People do believe anything that's told to them on the TV...

Now that the candidates have been decided, does anybody have views on who might do the better job?

I think that since the USA is the self-proclaimed leader of the free world, then the entire free world should get a vote.  It's pretty clear Obama would win in a landslide over McBush McCain if that was the case.
