First off...this installed like a dream on my godaddy hosted account so hats off there .
Now that that is done, I need to install a copy on my localhost skinning machine. Only problem is that I am not sure if I can use the existing copy that I have (since the domain use/registering) thing. I have the ioncube extension loaded on my machine (was really easy as well....great choice for encoder btw).
Just need to know if I have to have a different copy for this type of install....thanks.

Once you are in the AdminCP, go to your skin editor.
Select the ICT skin and go to the global module. In the footer section you will find this: Code<a href="{$this->base_addr}a={$this->modules_f['main']}&p=privacy">{$this->lang['privacy']}</a> remove that link, and it will work fine.
That link is for when you have the main module installed. You can install it if you want. It's available as an option in the download area of your control panel.

You should be able to install on localhost without a problem. Just set this file ( C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts ) to have your domain name access localhost instead. Install it, and then just edit the file and remove that line.

well, I went to my godaddy hosted site and now I get an error when trying to access the admin cp.
As far as my localhost install goes, I run Sokkit with apache2 and mysql and not IIs (blah blah). the installation fails when trying to connect from my machine to this site to verify domain......Tried to open the files to look, but they are still encrypted.
Might have to re-install on the godaddy account.....kinda wierd
