I first learned of Poffo's ICW in 1980 when i bought a copy of the Wrestling News, published by Norman Keitzer at a WWF card (sold at the table alongside the night's official program and 8 x 10 b&w glossy photos of the entire WWF roster from Backlund down to the Black Demon) .
For much of Poffo's ICW run, only the Keitzer mags, one cheaply published mag (edited by the gentleman named Mike who would later become the original editor in chief of Wrestling Eye) were the only mags that gave them kudos.
Therefore, what if the Apter- mags covered them as well? How would it benefit Poffo's ICW?

I really don't think it would have made much difference.

No difference, but this was a problem I had with Apter mags - they seemed to favor the NWA at that time

The Apter Mags always had favorites, in the 70's it was WWWWF, after the expansion it was NWA. They seemed to cover Memphis & Florida consistently as well. Very little AWA coverage, A lot of World Class and some Georgia.

I don't have the article/magazine in front of me, but during the early '80s, I remember Norman Kietzer writing that the Poffos were criticizing the Wrestling News for not recognizing the ICW title as a world title, or something along those lines, and the Poffos felt that they deserved more prestige in the Kietzer magazines than they were getting.
But as some of us know, as Mr. Kietzer himself pointed out, the Wrestling News, at the time, was the only publication that gave the Poffos any coverage to begin with.
