Was it sort of small independent promotion that was sort of a joint venture with the AWA? Looks like some guys wrestled for AWA-Omaha only and not on the other AWA cards. Early on they had their own champions after the AWA started is what I heard.

It was a separate territory that was affiliated closely with the AWA promoted by Joe Dusek running shows in Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska. I've also seen results from Iowa and South Dakota. Prior to Dusek the territory was run by Max Clayton who was a founding member of the National Wrestling Alliance.
There was an Omaha World title that ended up being unified with the AWA world title. There would also be Omaha-only AWA title changes.
Omaha closed up shop in 1972 or 1973 and then the AWA-proper moved in.

May have been the only meeting ever Of The Crusher v Sheik Farhat with Sheiky putting over Crusher in Lincoln, Ne. 1960's. Not certain if it was a Dusek run event or maybe an NWA event.

Excellent work Larry. I think The Sheik of Araby & Reg Lisowski v Sky Hi Lee & Rudy Kay was on a Kit Parker Golden age of Wrestling video.
Still kind of a mystery if The 1-29-63 event in Lincoln, NE. was a Dusek run event thru AWA or NWA. I'm going to say NWA.

Did Omaha have their own local TV? I don't think I've ever seen any video if so.

I do know they had their own local tv, I remember seeing results of Omaha specific TV from the 1960s and'70s, I remember getting a kick out of seeing some of the same AWA Minneapolis TV guys on Omaha TV

Sometimes, the top guys in Omaha would appear on Minneapolis TV or main cards in the lower events. Fans of the main AWA roster probably never knew who they were.
Yeah, I would think most wouldn't have known who they were if they hadn't made previous stops in the AWA. That was the charm of the territories. So you can see how getting the most out of the talent in the pipeline was a strong point of that era. And the talent had to be adaptable/versatile. Knowing your craft well was a prerequisite.
