Continuing my research, I've come up with some new information - and some queries - concerning the TV situation during the dying days of All-Star Wrestling/Les As De La Lutte.

Near the end of August 1976, the promotion lost both its english (CFCF-12) and its french (CFTM-10) TV outlets. However, they did continue to tape and air their show at least up to late October before sinking into re-runs throughout November. The company went under sometime in December. The question remains as to what stations continued to carry the show outside of Montreal.

I'm wondering if their loss of the Montreal market coincided with the sale of the company by the Rougeaus to Steve Paradis? Does anyone know the date the purchase was made? Raymond Rougeau has stated that he agreed to stay on with the company after the sale but that it only lasted a couple of months, which aligns with the transaction taking place around August or September.

Does anyone recall who was doing the announcing on the broadcasts? In 1976, pre-Paradis, Johnny Rougeau was doing color (in both languages, I think). Fernand Ste.Marie (ex-Grand Prix) was doing interviews, and a guy named Gerald Edwards (who wore gaudy multi-colored blazers) was the ring announcer.

Another point to clear up was the timeline when NWF promoter Pedro Martinez (through partner Jerry Jacobs, a sports concessions entrepreneur) bought the promotion. According to SteelBeltWrestling.com, this occured in the autumn of 1972 - around the same time he also purchased Pittsburgh in an attempt to expand his territory beyong the Buffalo-Cleveland loop. Apparently, this situation lasted only until mid-1973 before Martinez sold the promotion back to the Rougeaus. I understand what the NWF was trying to do here, but they might have done better to try to cut a deal with Frank Tunney in Toronto because the Rougeaus were smack in the middle of the All-Star/Grand Prix war at the time.

Anyone who could add some info/results/timeline clarifications here would be most welcome.
