While combing through Paul-Sauve Arena card results and the TV shows I have from 1986, I observed the rather interesting influx of northeastern U.S.-based job guys that worked here. Just about all these names were alumni of either the Atlantic City Tropicana AWA tapings from 1985, Savoldi's ICW, or the NWF (the one with D.C. Drake and Larry Winters). At least 4 of the 1986 IW shows (along with a couple of stray matches from comps) I've uploaded feature enhancement talent who came up from the New England or Tri-State regions for the TV tapings and occasionally undercard work on the Paul-Sauve Arena shows. These names include the following:
Tony Stetson: This future Tri-State (the Joel Goodheart promotion) and early ECW name did numerous TV jobs while in his rookie year in Montreal, He was much younger and thinner and had a full head of blonde hair. I have 2 matches of his: a singles bout against Rick Martel and another singles match against Man Mountain Moore
Jim Londos: A skinny, auburn-haired guy in white trunks who worked several of the AWA Tropicana tapings in '85, he also made some TV tapings for IW. The match I have of him is against Man Mountain Moore.
Jeff Gripley: A dark-haired, medium-built guy in red trunks who worked some summer 1986 tapings for IW, including jobs to Steve Strong and Ron Ritchie (both of which I have posted on YouTube, under the 6/21/86 and 6/14/86 shows, respectively). A couple of Gripley's TV jobs from the '80s version of the NWF are also on YouTube.
Diamond Jim Brady: A mulleted, sandy brown-haired guy with a thick moustache who had 5 minutes of fame in IW when he was Rick Martel's opponent during the angle where Steve Strong came to ringside to call out Rick Martel for the first time and even gave Jim a handshake for good luck. I've seen Jim's name on some 1984 cards, too.
Ron Shaw: A familiar name from his many WWF appearances and for beating David Sammartino with a bearhug rather abruptly on a Philly Spectrum card, Shaw worked at least 1 Paul-Sauve Arena card against Dino Bravo in the summer of 1986 and a competitive TV match with Rick Martel.
Larry Winters: This ubiquitous name from the '80s northeast independent scene stopped in IW for a few shots around the same time as Shaw, including a Paul-Sauve Arena loss to Sheik Ali and a TV squash with Steve DiSalvo (There's a clip of Winters on the receiving end of a nasty-looking gourdbuster from Steve Strong in one of the video packages they did on the Sadistic One)
Dave Ruehl: A chubby guy in blue trunks with a curly, short mullet who jobbed to Ron Ritchie on the 7/5/86 show I posted.
Troy Martin: The future Shane Douglas did a job to Bob Della Serra on the 7/5/86 show.
Anyone have memories of seeing these guys either on TV or the live shows? I wonder who was responsible for booking these guys into Quebec.

I always enjoyed Larry Winters' work. He was the classic mid to late 1980's to early 1990's Pro Wrestler (by hairstyle).
Anyway, enjoyed his in-ring work. I have seen him work matches in the NWF and AWA, by the way. Certainly a guy that could be used in a variety of roles up and down the card, as needed.
I would assume he's doing an ok job putting guys over here as I have yet to view any of his Montreal matches.
