Hennan and Ventura aways made racial comments against Tito Santana calling him Chico and saying you would get more english out of him the harder you hit him like a cue ball etc. I think it was pretty funny but I guess some people were offended. Hennan and Ventura always made racial slurs it would never fly today but funny it it's time.

I always appreciated that about wrestling. Not necessarily the racial/ethnic slurs, but the complete lack of political correctness. It was all in good fun. How are we ever going to get a long if we can't even make fun of each other. Or if we can't make fun of each other, we should at least be able to discuss our differences in an intellectual and cool headed manner, without squirming and tippy toeing around these very real matters.
Speaking as a "Pollack", i never got offended by Ventura or anybody else making fun of Ivan Putski because he was Polish. It's all in good fun.

Jesse calling Tito Santana "Chico" wasn't racist so much as an in-joke. Chico Santana was an actual midget wrestler. The idea being that Tito was so ineffectual Jesse kept confusing him with a midget wrestler.
I only use the term "midget wrestler" in its historical sense. In real life, people with dwarfism prefer to be called "little people" or, imaginatively, "people with dwarfism."

Because like or not that kind of stuff sells tickets back then if you where a heel and wanted to get some cheap heat then you made fun of someone race, and boom instead heat!
