One of the names most requested over the years for SLAM! Wrestling was "Strangler" Steve DiSalvo. Well, in an effort to do a proper "friends remember" Dave Sheldon, I tracked him down and wrote up a story about his career.

Enjoy!

Wrestling well in the past for Steve DiSalvo

He is one of my favorites. Thanks Greg. Love watching his matches from Calgary, Montreal and Puerto Rico.

Mr. DiSalvo was one of the original internet wrestling memes.  Back in the rec.sport.pro-wrestling days (RIP new posts on Usenet BTW), when Scott Hall debuted as the Diamond Studd in WCW, someone said that he didn't look like Hall and could possibly be Steve DiSalvo.  Which mutated into the answer for every question about X wrestler's identity being, "He's Steve DiSalvo!"
