I have heard this term applied to cheap belts made at local trophy shops. Which belts would be good examples of trophy shop belts? Did you like any trophy shop belts or did they seem too cheap to you?

Pedro's IC Red strap, Tito's IC green strap are probably the best and most popular trophy shop belts. I Loved Pedro's belt. You could also say it was Pat Patterson's also cause he "won" it in the Rio tournament first lol

In Pat Patterson's book he says that he still has the original Intercontinental title belt, and that if he ever gets to actually visit Rio, he plans to take the belt with him.

I would imagine that Stampede were locally made with exceptions of the commonwealth mid heavy weight strap, my guess it was rifled from New Zealand as that's what it said across it. When Totan gave back the promotion the commonwealth title looked very peofessional

Believe the WWF tag title belts from around 1981 to first parts of 1984 used that trophy belt design. Main plate was sort of a cornered off rectangle with similar side plates as the two versions of the IC title belt (green and red straps).
