The Sheepherders seemed to add an even more harder edge to the promotion. It fit in with what had already been going on. Bockwinkel did work a little here. The AWA was on good terms with Southwest.

That is a loaded line up of talent around Thanksgiving night 1982 (maybe Thanksgiving night itself). Surprised it didn't draw 20,000+

I was crazy into MidSouth, WCW, and World Class as a kid 1982-84. I would only catch SW on Sunday mornings (USA network) if I was sick and stayed home from church or was on vacation. It was great!
I have a few vhs compilations from about 20 yrs ago that I have watched and tend to watch a lil on youtube occasionally.
