That doesn't make it right.

In George Schire's book " The Golden Age of Wrestling in Minnesota " George in his book discussed the WWF events in the Twin Cities.
Unless there is a DeLorean that will enable you to time travel Rich once you hit 88 mph then u can do your part to change wrestling history.
I would rather have The Sports Almanac that gives me the outcomes of every major sporting event for the next 50 plus years.

The title of Mr. Schires book is "MINNESOTA'S Golden Age of Wrestling." Minnesota, not AWA.

So Rich you are saying that before the AWA was started and I believe The Stetchers ran Minneaplois that they have zero rights to be acknowledged. What about Chicago Rich ? No history before Verne,,Dtb, Wilbur, Wally and the AWA should never be acknowledged ?
So I suppose that Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron were only Urban Legends and Myths ?

The Minneapolis Boxing and Wrestling Club predates the AWA which was created in mid August 1960 so would those results be allowed here?

Absolutely, since those results involve professional wrestling.

What was the breakdown in the 1950s regarding ownership of the Minneapolis Boxing and Wrestling Club with Wally Karbo, Tony Stetcher and Dennis Stetcher?

Rich I have George's book and an excellent book at that. I like my Maxwell House for now. Can't see paying over $5 for a cup of coffee from Starbucks.
Anyhow Rich if you feel that strong about no other members being able to reference WWF events or talent in AWA towns then take your concerns to Jay.
Just my opinion in that I do not believe that you will have much support but good luck anyhow.

Quoted from: richjp60, April 23rd, 2024 15:01 GMTPlease, no East Coast Circus Tour results on the AWA board. The AWA was the home of Professional WRESTLING. No floppy shoes or big red noses allowed.
No gimmicks in the AWA? Then how do you explain John Nord, the football-playing Bible-thumping lumberjack barbarian from The Great North Woods, Norwegia? Or The Blaster smashing through a wall? Or the Turkey on a Pole Match? By calling the WWF "the East Coast Circus Tour" with "floppy shoes and big red noses", you are disrespecting all the talented hardworking WRESTLERS who worked for them. Would you call Bret Hart or The Dynamite Kid or Barry Windham clowns? Lou Thesz won a Legends Battle Royal at the WWF's November 16, 1987 house show, which also included Al Costello, Bobo Brazil, Ray Stevens, The Crusher, Gene Kiniski, Nick Bockwinkel, Pat O'Connor and Edouard Carpentier, would you call them clowns? No, you wouldn't, and if you would, then you are the troll, not me.

So I'll try to answer the MBWC ownership question and by no means do I know if it is 100% accurate. Wally may have owned a piece of the Minneapolis territory with Tony going back to the 40s when Karbo took on a more prominent role in the company. By the way i think Marty O'Neill was involved in the promotion starting in the early 40s. If Wally didn't own a third of the MBWC in the 40s then he certainly did in late 1954 after Tony Stecher passed away. Tony's son Dennis along with a couple of family members then took on the other two thirds of the company. Either by late 1958 or early 1959 Verne bought out the Stecher family. Plans for the formation of the AWA took place in 1959. When the AWA started up in 1960 it covered a still relatively small region consisting of Minnesota, western Wisconsin, Dakotas, and Winnipeg. By 1964, the AWA was in Denver and later in 1966 made its way to Chicago and Milwaukee.
