I remember that Brian Adias--Mike von Erich match that was Adias's heel turn.
Was that Mike von Erich's only clean pinfall loss?

Well, looking at cagematch.net, I can say he was defeated by pinfall against Buddy Roberts and Gino Hernandez in Israel. There are others listed. I did see him teaming with David and losing to The Freebirds. Most likely, it was Mike taking the pin.
Then again, I guess it depends on what you'd consider "clean". I'm sure there were cheating tactics used on occasion in his defeats by pin.

Gino beat him at Star Wars in 84 for the American Heavyweight belt.
I could see that being a clean pinfall, even if there's probability that Gino cheated.

Unless the match is a total squash, the heels always cheat at some point to gain an advantage. It's part of being a heel. Come think of it, even in squashes, the heel will often attack his opponent as he's going back to his corner. That in itself is cheating.

The criteria for something being considered a clean pin would be an interesting topic in itself. We all likely agree that grabbing a handful of trunks or having your feet on the ropes during the pin would not be a clean pin. But what about hitting your opponent with brass knuckles, and throwing the nucks out of the ring and then pinning your opponent? The pin itself is clean, but you cheated to get to that point. Would it depend on how many transitional moves or time has passed since the cheating incident? Interesting question...
