In 1987, Central States chaged itself to WWA. They were going to work with Portland, World Class, AWA, Southern Champioship Wrestling, & All Japan/ I saw the famous 1989 All japan card when the British Bulldogs went against the Rock & Roll Express. Isaw Mike George and Masa Chono in World Class in 1988. I saw AWA use Central States for its' world title tournament in 1989 when Lawler vacated the belt. Was something more supposed to materialize like co -romotion cards, tv talent exchange,  and cards promoted overseas? When did the promotion finally die? Furthermore why did Dusty/Crockett's promoting Central states fail?

The Crockett's promoting CS died because they tried to push Italian Stallion and Chris Champion.

Yep it was Todd Champion.  Hell, the USWA and WCW tried too...

Dusty used Sam Houston as champion, the Thunderfoots as tag champs, and filled the cards with lower tier JCP talent, giving the area zero credibilty.

The Central States Thunderfoots as well as Sam Houston were underused and underrated so what in the hell are you talking about?

WWA was when I tuned out for good on CS. No disrespect to Mike George but when he was your "world champion", that killed their credibility.

Calling their title a world title was a major mistake too.

When the CS talent worked in AWA, CS/WWA pretty much was gone.

They were talented & underated, but not seen as main event by most.
