Had Dynamite Kid not of had the injury that put him out before the upcoming match with Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine i wonder how things would have turned out in regards to how severe of a Beatdown would Beefcake had received from DK and what Vince and The Office would have done in terms of Disciplinary action.
Brutus Beefcake disrespected DK's trainer Ted Bentley who was in the dressing room visiting The Bulldogs and making the rounds meeting a few of the boys. Beefcake treated Bentley as a Mark who had no business in the dressing room at a then WWF show weeks earlier.
Greg Valentine, Harley, and i think Don Muraco and maybe Fuji were the only ones that DK informed about what he was going to do to Beefcake.

That all might be true, but if Hogan got pissed off because his Buddy got beat up, Dynamite might've been put on the next train back to Liverpool.

My guess is SG is that DK probably didn't care if he was fired. Japan was always there for him.

I agree Sonny. Dynamite seemed like he had that "I don't care attitude" and knew based on talent he would get hired elsewhere.

Agree with a couple previous comments re dynamite kid not caring.. I was not a fan of dynamites out of the ring shenanigans, he was definitely a bully, but in this particular case it seems like Beefcake definitely needed to be taught a lesson

In Beefcake's defense, he probably had no idea who Bentley was and legitimately thought he was just another "mark". In Dynamite's mind, that may have not made any difference, for whatever reason.
If he had no idea who he was, then he should not have copped an attitude before finding out the facts, I'm sure that would be Dynamite kids position as well

Here we go again. Completely bewildering DK worship. This makes me want to puke. I don't care anything whatsoever about Beefcake -- in fact -- I thought he was awful, an integral part of the cartoon world I despised and caused me to tune out.
Regardless.
By any standard of civil, acceptable human behavior, DK was an abominable human being who preyed on those he knew were weaker than him.. He tormented, bullied, and perpetrated too many despicable, heinous acts to count. You are all aware of them so I won't bother with a recitation. He is an archetypical member of the Napoleon complex club (a small man by pro wrestling world standards). I thought I had finally read the last of DK praise. I don't just "not get it." I wonder how many of you who continue to praise DK would like you, your family or friends to be on the receiving end of the actions perpetrated by this abomination of God's given life or a similar abomination. I prey that none of you have or ever will be.
He was a cretin. I don't care how good his "in ring" work was. To praise this man for the heinous acts he perpetrated, or intended to, is mindboggling. I hope he met his just rewards in the afterlife.

Louie, I hope that you don't think I was in any way shape or form praising dynamite kid, in fact if you remember I have always been right there with you when talking about him and his bullying tactics, they are unacceptable and it is shameful that they were allowed to happen. My only comment regarding him was that in this particular isolated case, it sounds like Beefcake did need to be taught a lesson.... that's all, I would have been fine if it was anyone that taught beefcake a lesson in respect... even if it wasn't dynamite. Beefcake was in the wrong in this case.
Louie, I don't see any other comments as I read through this thread of anyone praising Dynamite kid.. or excusing his bullying behavior. I do understand your reaction though, because sometimes just seeing somebody's name makes your blood boil and makes you think of their past heinous acts. Doesn't look to me like anyone on this thread was excusing his bullying behavior, only that beefcake was in the wrong and needed to be taught a lesson in this case
Hope that makes sense, and please understand that I am and always have been right with you concerning Dynamite kid, we both feel the same way about him

Thanks. Nothing personal to you my friend or anyone else. Just a global viewpoint.
I suppose I would add this. In every walk of life, there are times when someone has earned being taught a lesson, a comeuppance. I don't know and or care about anything Beefcake did and if he earned a comeuppance - so be it. Unfortunately, when it comes to any "lessons" administered by DK, we have a history of knowing his actions are heinously unacceptable, lesson or otherwise. It is virtually certain that any lesson DK administered to Beefcake would have been a lesson unacceptable by any civilized human standard. If Beefcake needed to be taught a lesson, there were plenty of solid citizens that could have administered an acceptable one.

Solid point..., I almost added that to my post ....Beefcake deserved to be taught a lesson, a beating would have been acceptable, but he didn't deserve to be crippled or anything like that

There is that percentage of the boys and divas who will defend their trainer, mentor, etc.to any extreme and that is extreme loyalty.
There is that other percentage of the boys & divas who have no loyalty to their trainer, mentor, etc. They went sideways for whatever reason but i'm certain that the root of it is $$$.
I'm giving Tommy Billington the benefit of the doubt that he had a special relationship and extreme loyalty to his trainer & mentor Ted Bentley and if indeed Ed Leslie ( Beefcake ) crossed that line in regards to the dressing room interaction he had with Bentley then DK looked at it as the middle finger put in Bentley's face as well as put in DK face.
DK was a sadistic bastard no question about it. I don't know whether Greg Valentine or Don Muraco were ever asked to address this alleged incident in regards to DK, Bentley and Beefcake in their shoot interviews.. It would be interesting to get their point of views on it.
This entire topic is nothing more then a " WHAT IF " scenario so we can all guess the remaining 56 days of 2023 and all have our opinions.
