I'm really surprised no one has posted about this card tomorrow night--a card to honor & tribute Johnny "Mr. Wrestling II" Walker, & his fabulous career. It's in Kennesaw, Ga., Sat. , May 3rd, at 7PM (doors open at 6PM)--North Cobb High school gym--3400 Old Hwy. 41.
Besides Johnny Walker to be there--there will be a number of mat veterans to be present.Superstar Bill Eadie, Assassin Jody Hamilton, Pat & Randy Rose, Jerry "Mr. Olympia" Stubbs, Inferno Curtis Smith, Cowboy Bob Kelly, "Bomber" Jack Lord, & others. And matches to be held, of course.
I know I'll be there. Hope that some of you reading this will come out & support Mr. Wrestling II. Thanks.

Sounds like a great night, Tojo. I could have sat against the wall, sipped my soda and eavesdropped on any one of those guys and had a great night. How far did you have to travel to that, David?

Really disappointed I had to miss this card, as it was practically in my backyard. Unfortunately, I was out of town on business and didn't return until about 11:30 Saturday night.
Had some friends who were there, however, and it sounds like a good time was had by all.

Oh yeah. Mickeydo--It took about 2 hours each way. Not a bad drive at all. Pretty weather, & pretty much a straight shot down & back on interstate.Had a fun time--got some great pics. Oh yeah, Thunderbolt Patterson & Chick Donovan were there, too.A treat talking with Johnny Walker.

Hey does Johnny still live in Hawaii these days or has he moved back to Georgia? A year or two ago he went to the NWA legends convention in Charlotte and had a heart attack to the last day of it. Its good to see he;s back on the road

Yeah--I asked about Hawaii--he told me that he stays there most of the year. He was going to New York this week, then back to Hawaii. He's sure moving slow these days. Mentally, though, he's sharp as a tack.

Tojo, you forgot to mention lady wrestler's Joyce Grable and Susan Green were also in attendance along with former NWA Ref's Bobby Simmons, Charlie Smith,Mac McMurray and Scrappy McGowan. Also our own diamondmd (Glad to see he is doing better) was at the show. Thanks to my good friend Tojo Mojo I only had to drive 5 hours of a 9 hour round trip. Really enjoyed the trip with Tojo and the stories we shared from the territory days. It was my 3rd trip down to Georgia with Tojo and I look forward to the next one.
