Well, as I've said all along, Bruno will (never) do it!!
When he told me to my face many times over the years, I never realized he had his fingers tied behind his back. Dog gone it.
More importantly, I hear a Bruno bigraphy movie will be coming out of all this down the road a desire Bruno has had for years and Vince has agreed to bankroll as part of the deal. So, in the long run, a good thing for all of us.
Triple H contacted me and started telling me all the things that had changed and everything that was going on with WWE," Bruno said. "I started watching it after talking to him and when I saw it, I was very, very impressed."
For Triple H, the hall was incomplete without The Living Legend.
"I love the history of this business," Triple H said. "Without the history, there is no tomorrow. To look back on the history of WWE, one of the most important figures in the long story of where this all came from wasn't recognized. And that was Bruno."
Bruno started watching wrestling on tv again was 'very impressed' with the current WWE product?!?!?!?!
Oh come on. He got a check with more than a few zeroes on it. Has Bruno sold out?
The only one upset might be Mick Foley, as he was supposed to be the main event, go on last and get the longest speech. Now I guess he's opening for Bruno. I mean I think Bruno would insist on going last.

It's pro wrestling......never take a promotor or a wrestler at face value. They have too much fun with you if you do.......
I think you're taking 'very impressed' out of context. Specifically he was talking about how they cleaned up the language and made it more family friendly again. And that not every guy is jacked to the point of bursting at any moment. I don't think he meant 5 star 60 minute classics.
Gotta say, I like the way they are handling this. They are showing nothing but respect. I am wondering who will induct him. I would like to see Larry Zbyszko do it. But I think it will fall to Hunter.

Not that Bruno's rare lengthy matches were 5 star classics. Like everyone of my generation who grew up in the Northeast, I loved Bruno, but don't we all agree that the NWA champs of the '60s and early '70s were much better at long bouts than Bruno? Or was Bruno really capable of providing Brisco/Funk/Race-type action in a long-form setting, but that just wasn't what Vince Sr. thought would sell in this region?

Came here to say the same thing - I'm surprised at what a big deal WWE is making of this. Everyone was praising Bruno as the greatest ever on RAW tonight. I thought Mick Foley was still going to be treated as the headliner but obviously not.

Here is the Hall of Fame Video from Raw Tonight. Whoever said on this board that "today's fans wouldn't know Bruno Sammartino is or appreciate him" should see the end of this video... The crowd in Atlanta gives a standing ovation while chanting, "BRUNO! BRUNO!"
