Hello all, I just released my 2nd book on Memphis Wrestling. It comes in at over 400 pages. It features almost 350 pages of the programs that were sold at the weekly shows in Memphis (from 1972 thru 1976). A new feature in Vol2 is that i interviewed some Memphis legends and have their views in the book as well. Some of the Memphis legends included are: Jerry Jarrett, Bill Dundee, Jimmy Valiant, Jimmy Hart, Billy Wicks, Scott Bowden, Randy Hales, etc. Lance Russell was kind enough to write the book's foreword and wrestling historian Tim Dills wrote a wonderful piece as well.

Just wanted to let everyone know that both my books can now be purchased through Amazn.com.

Just go to amazon.com and enter "Memphis Wrestling History" and mine are usually the first 2 to pop up (by author Mark James).

Thx,

The 1982 book is truly awesome. Kimala. Jimmy Hart. Andy Kaufman. The Fabs. Lawler. Dundee. Dutch. Randy Savage and ICW. Spike Huber & Steve Regal. Iron Sheik. Very informative. Tremendous stories.

I would agree that the 1982 book is great. I was 3 years old in 82, and lived in Texas, so I didn't know any of this was going on. As time passed and I actually started seeing some of the Memphis wrestling on video and the satellite, I became a big fan. Whether you are a lifetime Memphis wrestling fan, or a fan like me who was exposed much later, you will not only be entertained by this book, but you will also learn from it. I highly recommend it to everyone I talk to that is even remotely interested in the history of the sport.

I purchased the book and it is definitely a great read!

Bravo to Mark and all the work he did to do this.

As I've posted before--just a wonderful wrestling book. Great look back at 1982 Memphis wrestling, one of the best years ever for Memphis. Get...this...book.

Cornette and Mark James have another book out.  This one covers Louisville and the history of wrestling at the Gardens.  A must have for Memphis fans

Yes, Cornette does the main writing in this book, & it's a fabulous look at years 1970 through 1975 in Louisville, Kentucky. Great great book, wonderful look back at Gulas wrestling in KY., Tenn., & Ala. back then. Cornette used some of my B'Ham -Knoxville nostalgia in this edition, & I was tickled to see that. Jimmy was also nice enough to give me (David Williamson) a nice plug in the book, which I was pleased to see, & appreciated. Anyway, the Louisville book can be ordered from Jim on jimcornette.com, & it comes with a great dvd of '70's Louisville arena matches--some great history on there. Well worth the money!!
