When did Gorilla Monsoon sell his shares in the company, and from whom did Abby and Brody buy theirs?

I'll be selling merch at the line to urinate on Cornette's grave...

So how did they owe him money? If they didn't, then it's strange that the issue came to a head was money.

Did Abby buy Gorilla's shares? That seems odd, considering i've always heard that Monsoon didn't care for Abby and that's why he was never brought back.

I've never had it confirmed that they did owe him money. In my talks with people close to Brody, they never said he was owed money. But that's something others have speculated.

I've honestly always been of the belief that Jose just had enough. From all accounts Brody would tease, and ignore Jose often. In fact it was pretty common for many of the big name Americans would tease and roll their eyes at Jose. He was the assistant booker and carried finishes, and most of the foreign talent simply did not respect him.

I know of numerous other Americans who would rib Jose. Terry Funk was one of the guys who talked about how the boys didn't respect so they would rib him.

Not saying that was the motive, as it's hard to find clear motives when discussing murderers.

I thought the story was NOT that Brody owned shares in PR, but that before he died, he had made deals to buy a controlling number of shares.  Maybe Brody was buying out his good friend Abby and Gorilla Monsoon and whoever else so that he'd have more shares than Colon and Victor Jovica.  Meaning he could take control of the promotion and fire, among others, Jose Gonzalez as booker

Jesus! His wife confirmed he did not have or was looking to obtain a piece of Puerto Rico.

He wasn't "good friends" with Abby or Gorilla Monsoon either.

As far as I have heard, Brody never had or adquired shares from WWC.
He had over the years several issues with Jose Gonzalez(Invader 1), not with Carlos Colon.

Does anybody have any info on Gorilla's WWC shares?  Did he get them from Rocca/after his death? Who did he sell them to? Who did Abby buy his shares from?

Had never heard that Rocca had shares in the company.

I believe Monsoon came in as an owner and it was with some of his capital that helped the company get on it's feet. He was close to Victor Quinones and that is where the connection came from as far as Gorilla putting in money.

I had always heard that Rocca & Miguel Perez were the first business partners with Carlos Colon in '71-74

Rocca didn't have any money to invest.

The original investors were Colon, Jovica and Monsoon. They started the company in late 1973.

Towards the late 70's Thomas Collado came in and put money into the company or bought it out of bankruptcy.

Rickin Sanchez also put some money in at some point in time too.
