For a decade, we were treated to Vince interviewing talent for their upcoming cards at MSG, Brendan Bryne Arena, Nassau Coliseum and much much more. The earliest one is right here.
August 1973 Vince interviews Tanaka, Morales, and Stasiak
Starting with Saturday morning, December 31st, 1983 TV taping, we transitioned to Mean Gene Okerlund taking over that responsibility.
In addition, Vince starts hosting the Update segment on the Saturday morning, April 7th, 1984 with a focus on the Von Erichs.My question is when did Alfred Hayes (or was it Gene Okerlund?) take over from Vince hosting Update?
Then, Vince starts hosting TNT with Lord Alfred in spring 1984 only to step aside and let Mean Gene Okerlund take over as host.
Other 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986 examples of Vince delegating tasks that he did iniitailly?

I think Vince only let Gene take over TNT when the ratings started dropping and it was pretty much a forgone conclusion the show was going to be cancelled.
