Meltzer is reporting that Carlos Colon is the latest to be announced as being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at 'Mania weekend this year.

This isn't one that I want to see.  Bruiser Brody was murdered on Carlos's show by Carlos's booker Jose Gonzalez and Carlos kept using him afterwards.

Does Carlos Colon going into the HOF insult the fans and memory of Bruiser Brody?

It doesn't insult the fans anymore than they have already been insulted.

I am confident that Carlos knew why the murder took place as well as helped Jose during his trial. I also believe he and Victor Jovica had something to do with getting Jose out of the building,  hiding the knife and babyfacing him on their television while he was on trial for murder!

Can you imagine Vince doing the same? For example one of his wrestlers are accused of killing a women during a domestic despute, let's say a wrestler like Jimmy Snuka. And on tv he acts like nothing happened,  or better yet books him as the top babyface.

That's fine, its their board and their rules. I think the mods on here are more than fair and would never knock them.

UGH!!  And as far as his time in the WWWF is concerned, Carlos Colon was no higher level a  performer than Pete Sanchez or El Olympico.

Colon covered for that coward, he might as well have gutted Brody himself. Covering for a murderer to me is just as bad as committing it. Also I have no use for IWA there either. They had the bright idea of doing a Brody tribute show and actually had the nerve to have Brody's murderer appear on the show, how utterly classless & a slap in the face of Brody and his family. And there is no alleged to it, many guys who were there when it happened said their subpoenas were sent to them after the trial was over and knew it was done to save the punk's ass. I was just saying if Colon can go in with that dark cloud over his head, they have no excuse to not induct Benoit now, precedence has been set.

There's no precedent. While killing someone the way Gonzalez did is horrible, but many believe it was self defense. Jose was took the brunt of some hard ribbing mostly by the foreigners who saw him as inept at his job. And Brody may have been the one that ribbed him the hardest.

Their is a big difference in what took place in Puerto Rico and what transpired at Chris Benoit's house.

I do fault Jose, he killed Brody no doubt about it. But the motives of the murder are very sketchy. Believe me i've talked with everyone including his Brody's best friends, his widow Barbara as well as a few that were iN the lockeroom that night and witnessed everything.

Here's a couple of links for those who want some further insight into this subject. I still believe that it's an utter disgrace that Colon is in the WWE HoF all because Vince wants access to his video library. I know he was hesitant on doing it before because of this very thing, I know Keller & Meltzer pretty much $hit all over his induction and many feel it was a covered up murder. True, Brody was an ass to deal with, ask Luger. But he didn't need to be gutted alive because of it. If he was that big of a headache stop booking him. Not slaughter him, that's not how to handle business.

Yes I know all the details, in fact there are few that have invested as much energy in researching what went down that day. And Brody's career.

I am not sticking up for Jose, and at times I've shared anger over Colon and his company. But really Colon helped out a business partner who I believe feels he did act in self defense. Colon should have stopped booking Frank if he felt his life was in jeapordy or if he had problems with him.

But my point is your comparisons between Carlos Colon and Chris Benoit. There is a big difference between a man who probably believed his friend/partners version of a story. And a man who bound and beat his wife, then killed her. Waited 24 hours then drugged and strangled his son, HUGE difference.

I think with Nancy, it got out of hand before he realized what he had done. That fuse it lit and BAM!!! You go off and then it's too late. I could actually get past that, it happens daily around the world. But to take out his son for no good damn reason other that he's a cowardly bitch. There is no forgiveness I could care less how many 5 star matches he's had or anything else. His son was premeditated, as was Brody by Jose. Why go into a locker room with a knife wrapped in a towel to "talk business"? If he was in fear for his well being, why didn't he discuss business in the locker room so if Brody did snap they would've pulled Brody off of him. Premeditation with Jose & Benoit, and Colon knew what was going on & covered his sorry ass.
