This was an interesting year, and while not stacked with talent some notable names passed through: Ed Wiskowski, Steve Simpson (WCCW talent and not Nikita), Joe Savoldi and Lance Von Erich (as Ricky Vaughan).
While Ed (Col. DeBeers) was the best worker, I felt Joe Savoldi got mention in the mags for his S&S Express team with Simpson. He seemed like a solid talent. A little small, but had ability.
Does anyone remember this period and if so, did anyone thinks the young core of talent was notable or just magazine hype?
