How cool that Big Jim got the fall. One would have expected Ray to take it.
Flair and Dory really worked well together here and in the main event of the next Kiel card. I enjoyed their bouts a lot.

Thanks for asking. Ben Patrick was one of the original trainees in my Midwest Championship Wrestling promotion. He was from the Lima, Ohio, area.
He teamed with a guy named Larry Wilson as my top babyface team, The Flying Tigers. He is now a school administrator in northern Indiana and is recording music with his local band there.
Victor "Koko" Lewis was also from Lima and a friend of Snow's, who talked him into wrestling. He didn't work any territories, but did a few TV tapings I arranged. Rather small, but I put him out there as The Black Dragon, a masked ninja type deal.
Lewis died a few years ago. His info is posted on the Scott Teal website's deceased workers page.

Hey Jim--how did it come about in the dressing room that you got the nod to go over? Ray was a mid-carder at that point getting a small push. Very cool!

They were involving me in a TV angle involving the Crusher Blackwell vs Ken Patera feud at Kiel. I later worked a match with Patera with Blackwell on TV commentary about how ken couldn't body slam me.
I went over Al Snow on the first tape, the tag was the second tape and can't recall if I worked Patera the third hour or if that was at the next taping.

No disrespect Big Jim but you was a big guy and on TV you looked even bigger than Jerry Blackwell. I remember you and Blackwell came out Ken Patera already in the ring with a weight belt on ready to slam Blackwell but Jerry Blackwell says something along the lines the he has to prove himself by slamming you first before Patera can slam him because he knows Patera can’t slam you. Hope that made since. As far as I can remember Ken Patera scooped you up pretty easy and tossed you half way across the ring. I am sorry but I will never forget the look on your face after that slam.

Interesting result here - so obviously, after taping this, Flair got in a plane and headed to the Omni in Atlanta where he and Backlund had their title vs. title match that night.

Jim, I recall seeing both Ben Patrick and Koko Lewis on AWA TV. Koko Lewis wrestled under that name, and went out there as himself with no mask/ninja gimmick.
