Quoted from: bhayes67, May 31st, 2021 02:48 GMTQuoted from: princedice1, May 19th, 2021 06:51 GMTI'm looking at the Louisville Kentucky Newspaper TV Guide from Oct 29 1988
Here's the list of wrestling programs aired that day.
NWA Main Event aired 6 PM on WBNA 21
TBS Wrestling at 6PM
Worldwide aired on WDRB at 11 AM
NWA PRO aired on TBS at 11 AM
Memphis aired on WAVE at 2PM
World Class Wrestling aired 7 PM on WBNA
Wild West Wrestling aired at 10 PM on WBNA ( No Clue what Wild West Wrestling is)
ICW Wrestling aired 11PM on WBNA (I thought the ICW was dead by 88)
WWF Superstars on aired WLKY at 11:30 PM (That's kind of late for superstars.) It ran against WWF SNME on WAVE(Two WWF programs running against each other is strange) and the AWA on ESPN.
I scanned the tv listings into my computer. Not sure if I'm allowed to post it on here.
.
Wild West Wrestling was Ken Mantell's Ft. Worth promotion he started after the UWF was sold to Crockett. He took Lance Von Erich (known here as The Fabulous Lance), the Missing Link, John Tatum and Jack Victpry, announcer Bill Mercer, and others from WCCW. They were folded into WCCW by the end of '87 though.
I have no idea why they thought Dallas could handle both WCCW and Wild West. Wild West did have pretty extensive TV coverage, but I'm guessing they lost a lot of money.

The syndicated Main Event show may have aired in New York the same way it did in Chicago, and maybe other markets, but under a different name, like over here it was WCW Chicago. They had special commentary that catered to the local market.
