Sean Oliver brings up this town in his Timeline 1987 with Tully Blanchard. He calls it Hicksville instead of Hillsville.

Hillsville is on the border of NC/VA, not far from Roanoke or Mount Airy (Mayberry from Andy Griffith).

Check out this card. Pretty good.

Next visit to Hillsville was one year later. Not as good,.

Mark Fleming defeated David Diamond
Denny Brown defeated John Savage
Gary Royal defeated Mark Fleming
Nelson Royal defeated Rocky King
Italian Stallion defeated Larry Stephens

Rick Steiner pinned Kendall Windham by using tights for leverage
Jimmy Valiant/Bugsy McGraw/Mighty Wilbur defeated Ivan Koloff/Warlord/Barbarian by DQ

Heck, the residents probably call it Hicksville.  I'd enjoy all of those except for maybe the June 19th or May 24th card.  I like the idea of pitting lower card guys vs. each other.  It gives them a chance to show what they can do when not in an enhancement kind of role.
